Below are four basic wheel finish types on the market:

CHROME finish

The chrome wheel finish is the shiniest and brightest finish available on the market. Chrome-plating is the most popular wheel finish and involves electrochemically deposited chromium application.

Clean a chrome finish using mild dish soap and water; dry with a soft cloth. After cleaning, apply a coat of soft, non-abrasive cream wax or wheel seal to prevent surface corrosion.

PVD CHROME finish

PVD chrome finish is a combination of the classic chrome finish look with the durability of a painted wheel finish. Very minimum maintenance required and outlasted traditional chrome plating in all field tests.

POLISHED finish

The polished wheel finish is similar to chrome, just not as bright. The great benefit of a polished finish is its durability; its brightness can always be brought back by hand buffing them when not clear coated.

MACHINE POLISHED or BLACK MACHINED finish

Machine polished wheels are called machined finished wheels. The precision cut with a computerized CNC machine which later is clear coated gives the wheel the metallic shine finish.
